Radio Buraq in Mardan

For a considerable length
of time there was a single Radio Station for the entire Province of Frontier.
This was Peshawar Radio. Its programmes entertained thousands of people in the past. The main centre of entertainment was
Hujra where the villagers used to come and listen to the transmissions in Urdu as well as Pushto.
With the passage of time
two more radio stations were established in
Abbottabad and Dera Ismail
Khan. The situation is however totally changed now.
With advancement in Technology
the establishment of radio station has became very simple. And for this reason there is a radio station in every city of the
Province. Most of these are private stations and are available on FM Waves. One of these stations is
Radio Buraq FM 105, based
in Sheikh Maltoon Mardan.
Buraq in Arabic means
an outstanding race of horse famous for the high speed. It was established in 2006 ago for the welfare of Pushto language,
culture and entertainment.
It is now a popular radio
station in and around Mardan district.
The programmes hosts are
Adil Yousafzai, Ajmal Shah and Ali Khan. The programs are very entertaining. Other than Mardan district Radio Buraq is also
liked by the people of Swat, Swabi, Nowshera and Charsada. The listeners of Radio Buraq are from every walk of life. Just
like its Buraq is moving forward very fast.

to frequency FM 105 Radio Buraq and find out yourself about the service.
We hope it will continue
its work for the advancement of region and will maintain a high its standard in the future.

I was a big fan of Radio Buraq Peshawar especially Ali Afridi was one of
my favourites. I have left Pakistan and now I am in Malaysia. I used to call my family and I asked about Mr Ali. They
told me that now he is with radio Buraq Mardan. So justwant to say Salam to him. I forgot some other
names but they were also good, like DJ of programme Ghazal Zar and Hujra.Allah mo abad lara.
